Data controller
ParrotBoom is the controller responsible for the processing of personal data described here. You can contact us at [email protected].
Personal data we process
When you use the contact form, we process the information you provide, normally your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
When you visit the website, technical information such as your IP address, time of access, browser, and requested page may appear in security and server logs maintained by our technical service providers.
Why we process personal data
We process contact details and messages in order to:
- respond to questions and expressions of interest,
- communicate about birds, upcoming clutches, and sales,
- take steps before entering into a possible contract.
For general enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to contact that you have initiated. When an enquiry concerns a possible purchase, processing may also be necessary in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Technical logs are processed to deliver the website securely and to prevent misuse and technical faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and functioning website.
How long we retain personal data
Messages are retained for as long as necessary to handle the matter, normally no longer than twelve months after the most recent contact. Information may be retained for longer when required for an ongoing customer relationship, a legal obligation, or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
Technical logs are retained according to each provider’s procedures and no longer than necessary for operation and security.
Recipients and service providers
Personal data may be processed by suppliers that help us operate the website and deliver email. The website is hosted by Oderland and uses Cloudflare for traffic delivery and security. We do not disclose personal data for unrelated purposes or sell it.
If a provider processes personal data outside the EU or EEA, the transfer must be covered by a valid transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection law.
Cookies and local storage
ParrotBoom does not use analytics or marketing cookies. Your light or dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser and is used only to remember how the website should be displayed. Essential security services operated by our technical providers may use technical storage to protect the website.
Your rights
You may have the right to request access to your personal data, have inaccurate data corrected, request erasure or restriction, and object to processing based on a legitimate interest. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Contact [email protected] if you wish to exercise any of your rights or have questions about the processing of your personal data.
